Post Grid is a sound, cassette and digital mingled. The sound of working with limitation. Chaos versus grace. Hardcore Pacifist is a name I use as a collaborative musician, but also something I am. I was thinking in terms of a fierce peace when I was putting the songs together. I hoped the emotional current would transport the listener, through the sonic styles, leaving them where I was when the album finished, peaceful and buzzing. Hopefully you find this to be true.
I used cassette tapes from 20 year old demos as a sample library, which allowed me to collaborate with my younger self. The combination of old and new textures is what I'm exploring here. Special thanks to all involved; Tsuruda, John Herndon, Eric Podnar and Brett Hamilton. Thanks to Gabe Lackner and Gram Ginsburg for mix and master.
